Visting Mike in London, England!
October 3, 2008
I enjoyed a wonderful first-timer visit to London! Thanks to direct flights from Denver to Heathrow, I was anxious to get across the pond in one fell 9-hour swoop. Also my buddy, Mike has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work in London for 6-months, so what better time to catch up and enjoy some pints in Charles Dickens’ old neighborhood. It was just a quick weekend jaunt to the isle, so we front loaded my visit with the usual sights and sounds of the city. It was nice to see historic places such as Buckingham Palace, St. James’ Palace, Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. We also experienced the English culture by embarking on an Earl’s Court pup crawl and attending a premier league match-up featuring Chelsea FC. All and all it was a great trip!
